With the current Sametime sidebar app, I usually have it set to login me in automatically as available. However, I keep forgetting to change my status message, so it could say "working from home" for example, when I'm in the office.

Make another group type "Sametime contact list only"

Make a new group type in the Lotus Domino Server Address book. This group type would be "Sametime contact list only". The purpose would be to have the ability to have groups within the organization that are available in the Sametime contacts list while not available for emailing.

It is very strange why Sametime Connect client has integration features for Outlook, Sharepoint and Office from Microsoft but very little possibilities with Notes. Once upon a time alphaWorks at IBM had created a proof-of-concept product called NotesBuddy.  It allowed you to access your Notes mail without loading the Notes client.  ***It could even READ YOUR MAIL AND SAMETIME CHATS TO YOU***
It was only 6MB in size, worked with your personal POP mail ...
