| Currently, the Notes HTML signature option refers to a HTML fragment stored locally on disk. However - the HTML fragment doesn't roam with Notes, so if you roam to a different machine, you loose your sig. Also - even worse, if you roam from Windows to Linux or vice-versa ... |
| There is another idea for Full DXL Round-trip, but it is for both design and data. This idea hopes to take smaller bites of the elephant that is DXL support. Lotus should begin by making design elements 100% round-trippable in the next version of Notes. This would open many doors ... |
| Currently only 16 colors are possible. |
| Add a separate dialog to display and enter hide-when formulas to improve visibility and access in designer; and/or add shading to indicate where hide formulas exist, as is done with pass-thru HTML. |
| Instead of having to switch IDs just to sign a database, it would be much easier to be able to just select the ID file you want to use to sign with, put in the password, and do the signing. This would be similar to the way you can choose ... |
| It would be great if we could resize the properties dialog in the Notes client. When browsing field values on a document or setting properties in Domino Designer, often there is a severe lack of space to work with. |
|
Quite a disappointment to see, that the new feature "Export to PDF" is only available from the productivity editors and not from notes-core (document and viewlevel). |
|
Enable us to add .png and .svg files as image resources and have them render in the notes client. |
| One of the big negatives for using classes in LotusScript is the fact that they live in the declarations section. I would like to see a specific section created in the LotusScript editor that at the least works like the Java Editor. The following is my crude example ... |
| The current method of first entering text, then highlighting it, then choosing Create - Hotspot - Link Hotspot, then entering a URL into the tiny field in the properties box, really needs to be modernized. The best method I've seen for this so far is Facebook's "Post a link" tool, ... |
| Currently you can set a max size attachment for an email on the server. You can do this using configuration settings or even rules (more complex). I have a problem with this. No matter what way you set this, there is nothing stopping a user attaching ANY size attachment to ... |
| There have been many complaints about the slow start-up and response times for Notes 8, and many rejoinders that say the problem is one of tuning or settings or configuration. It would be great to have a "Tuning FAQ" (as suggested in this thread) or even "Check up ... |
| Make a STOP button next to the Open button that does exactly what Ctrl+Break does. Right now, that's just the super-secret keystroke for power users only. UPDATE: Just to clarify, there IS a Stop button in the toolbar today. But it's not useful, because when your client is in ... |
| It's bordering on criminal that in 2007 Domino still does not support gzip compression when sending data to web browsers. I know that iNotes supports it but why not any other nsfs? When you look at the performance improvements that Web Booster { Link } can ... |

When trying to sell Notes/Domino it'd be really helpful if the standard templates (Discussion/DocLibrary/Journal/Team Room, etc.) were updated to a modern Look & Feel and looked/worked work consistently between the Notes client and web. Maybe a little ajax-y? |
| Notes.net forums are very old and needs to be updated, This is a list of a few things that should be in any modern forum. Sticky threads All post in a threads on one page Attach images Format Lotusscript/Java/Javascript code nicely What's new since last visit. |

I'd like to have a drop down list which enables me to choose the signature I want added to the email. (or blog/forum post) Today I get around this by using my Paste Information application, but I'd rather have this integrated. |
|
IBM Lotus should remove the 32K limit size on text fields and view colums. There should be no artifial limit on this |
|
While editing an e-mail (or anything else for that matter), I would like [Paste Special...] added to the right-click menu for the mouse. I am frequently pasting from the web and other sources and need to remove the formatting. |
| Can't believe this hasn't been proposed yet as it's an old idea. Just want to be able to specify server (as in current server), database and view, rather than replica id. Replicas don't work for development. This only applies, since Nathan Freeman's sesame street example, to single category ... |
