<div>Currently: Each time a design element is opened a tab is created to the right of any existing tabs. Opening more than a certain number of design elements results in a drop-down appearing on the far-right.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>The problem with this is that the latest opened elements are likely to be the ones you currently need most - right?</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I think there could be a simple but productive improvement, by intelligently sorting the most used / most recently opened design element tabs to the left. This scheme could be augmented by a kind of progressively fading background colouring of tabs based on how long they've been open / most used. The background could fade progressively indicating reduced usage, eventually dropping off into the drop-down menu on the right.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>This amounts to a kind of UI visual cue system that can be described as a Heat Map of activity.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Too fancy? I think it could really work and could be useful in the Notes Client aswell.</div>
