Some admins want to check the performance of their Traveler system before they release it.
It would be nice if there is a build-in scenario for Traveler that we can use in Server.load or from any stress tools.
In the invitation, the default buttons are same as in a normal mail. To accept or decline you should go to the menu.
i suggest to change it "accept and decline" should be the default, "reply, folder, next, previuos" should go to the menu. Users very ...
Most of mobile apps are refreshing data by pulling down the list. Implement this in Traveler also, because users are looking for this functions.
As ActiveSync doesn't supports attachments in Calendar Entries, attachments are lost when you accept a calendar entry.
I suggest to keep the invitation in the inbox as a mail - with attachments - or at least warn the user to download attachments before accept.
By default, the Traveler client will only download attachments lower than 500k.
All bigger attachments will have to be downloaded manually, one by one (if multiple exist).
Even after clicking the "Download" button for truncated mails, the attachments aren't downloaded until you select them one by one.
With iOS7 out now, there is an option to unlock your device using the fingerprint ID system (known at Apple as Touch ID security). I would like IBM to support Touch ID as a supported when setting up a Traveler policy under Security Settings\Apple\Require device password.
I would have the "send and save" options like iNotes on Traveler for Android devices, and will be very helpful to see sent mail messages in subscribed folders.
It would be helpful to have a "refresh button" on the widgets for mail and calendar like the "new entry" function
This is not fully my idea, but some of our customers rwere equested these.
IBM developed clients (like android) for all platforms. They would like to have some more control and security over the built-in clients, eg:
- client certificate based authentication
- container like worikg:
To provide more security Traveler should be able to use personal or device certificate for authentication (without VPN client). As the browser can use a certificate copied to the device, Traveler should be able also. In the Traveler setting there should be a preference where the user ...
Never been asked by management to have a report on the Traveler stats (users, devices, OS) ?
Well if you are running High Availability mode the content of LotusTraveler.nsf is no longer accessible for export. Only via the web interface (no easy way to export) or via an SQL query (either ...
calDAV and cardDAV are open standards for access to calendar & contacts, and IBM is all about open standards!
We already have support for iCal, vCard, and webDAV in Domino... please stitch them together to provide calDAV & cardDAV support.
Restore the two-week calendar view into the Notes 8.5 mail template.
I know that this can be accessed using the non-java view (click CTRL as you switch the calendar view), but that's not exactly user-friendly.
Just put the view back, or at least allow the user to ...
Lotus Traveler can handle pictures if you have a picture of a person in you local NAB/$Contacts. And Domino server can have pictures of persons embedded in global Names.nsf for use in Sametime (or other application).
How about syncing these two on the server?
1) On domino server ...
Presently when we setup a new user on an iPhone or Android device, we are telling them to email a blank message to themself, so they have an email with their signature on the phone. Then they are told to copy their signature and paste it into the signature settings ...
BlackBerry PlayBook from version of OS 2.0 has native PIM applications but is no a way to synchronize E-mail, Calendar, To Do and Contacts with user mailbox on Lotus Domino server. Lotus Traveler for BlackBerry PlayBook would solve the problem.
don't you think it should be made easier to remove device records from the traveler server?
at the moment it is necessary to manually send these commands to the domino console:
tell traveler delete "<deviceID>" "CN=..../OU=.../O=.../C=..."
tell traveler security delete "<deviceID>" "CN=..../OU=.../O=.../C=..."
There must be ...
Sometimes it would be good to have the ability to manage the OOO profile from your mobile. What do You think?
Some of our users use rules to move new mail to specific folders in their mailboxes. Unfortunately, when you have multiple level of subfolders, you have to browser all subfolders to check if there is a new mail in one of them.
Why not add the unread count at ...
I really love the new Traveler widgets in 8.5.3 for Android, they're a cool improvement so I have an overview over e-mails and my calendar right from the homescreen. I find the sizing of the widgets unfortunate, however, 4x1 is too small for me and 3x3 lopsides my homescreen. I would love ...
