Why not being able to create file-links the same way as attachments?
Most/all enterprises have fileshares and today the most common negative feedback we get from our users on notes is the complexity to create file-links. This also genereates a lot of unessesary attachemnts in mails.

Why not have a similar way to attach file-links as with attachments? Either with an own button with browsing like  when attaching a document, or get the choice if you want to create it as an attachment or a link?

This is a functionality my users often use as an example when compering notes with outlook/Exchange, and they are not happy....

A nice thought, but not always clear to the user, since you could point to a share that is not accessible for that another user (rights or on a local device).

If Exchange user can do it, I'm sure notes users can also. And you can create file-links today also, its just to complex for the users to bother. Dont see why making it complicated solves the problem with non-available shares. Anyhow, with the amount of feedback i get from users on this, its too bad that so many should not get this because of the lack of notes-knowledge among a few.

It would be great if this worked the way Quickr connections for Notes works. Check it out if you get the option - maybe sign up to the Greenhouse if you want to see it and not buy it ....

My primary concern for every client I work with is where to store files ... and it's not in the mail database! This would be a step in the right direction, so gets my vote! :-)

I'm very happy with the new hyperlink button in Notes 8.5.1, but I was somewhat disappointed that you can't use it to link to a file on the file system.
