With Session Authentication, Domino stores a login cookie in the browser.  A user cannot use the same browser to login with different credentials simultaneously in different windows or tabs, within the same browser.  If a user tries, the previously logged-into window/tab can think that it is two different users (depending on how the page is coded), and cause havock and confusion.

Domino should be sensitive to windows/tabs in a browser in order to allow for multiple simultaneous login.

A good reason to have multiple browsers from multiple vendors to handle and test this. There are other sites, that don't handle this well either. May be difficult to resolve, but the work-around seems sufficient.

P.S. But you can also, use the Open Other's Mail piece in iNotes and that does allow for multiple identities to be utilized in the same session. Works very well and I use it all the time.

Start Internet Explorer with -noframemerging you can use differnet identities.

Thanks Marius good tip. I just tested it and it worked. Had to run it from a dos window - couldn't figure out how to get a shortcut to accept a command line parameter. My Windoze skills must be waning!

Here are also the equivalent parameters for Chrome and Firefox:

For Chrome, use the --new-window command line switch. For Firefox, it's -new-window.

Add the dword key FrameMerging with value = 0 to the registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main should start IE allways correctly to use different identities.
