SwiftFile offers 3 folders to file a msg in one click based on it's best guess. These guesses are very good, but not perfect nor consistent. Swiftfile should allow one of the picks to be a user-defined choice based on criteria (like those defined in Rules!) For example, all emails from our helpdesk system should be filed in the same folder. But SwiftFile doesn't offer that folder as an option about a third of the time.
If you don't know what SwiftFile is, you're missing out. It's a great add-on for Notes. Download it from Passport advantage.

I see where you are going with this, but I can't help but think that the interface could be quite complex or overwhelming to users, already inundated with preference options in Notes.
Heck, the mail rules interface is far more challenging to actually get a rule working correctly for many users.
Do you have a schema perhaps? (Not trying to make more work for you...just curious is all.)

I'm just posting the idea to get voted on so IBM knows if they should pursue it. I'm not trying to do a detailed solution. *IF* IBM chooses to implement the idea then I would expect them to apply the full system analysis process. I will be happy to contribute more details to the vision solution as soon as they double my pay for contributing.
