While Lotus contenues to tolerate slow and lacking Windows Server cycles, Apple contenues to put out a new and faster version of MacOSX Server every 14 - 18 months.
I would like to see Lotus Support fully and timley the MacOSX platform for Domino. It's stable, quick and mostly open.

Windows isn't going away soon, and every single new platform for Domino increases the QA and support matrix for IBM and for every single 3rd party vendor who supports a product that runs on Domino. There has to be a compelling market share story, or a truly compelling business strategy interest before IBM should port to any additional server platforms.

I agree with Rich .. show the numbers on this one. Otherwise it will never even get considered

For whatever reason, Apple doesn't really push it's stuff into the enterprise space (i.e., in the US, you have to have phone plan with an SSN [no corporate accounts] to get a iPhone).

Domino is Enterprise class... so on list of things to get done, I see little value here for IBM.

It would be very interesting to see Domino on OSX server, but I have to agree that it doesn't make sense for IBM... unless apple picked up some of the tab... aaah hahahha. Sorry ;)

MacOSX is just another Unix clone. There are far better server optimized Linux distributions for server performance, SUSE Enterprise as a default recommendation.

You all need to look at MacOSX Server before you go calling it "just another UNIX clone". Words of the uneducated. It's far more robust then Microsoft AD and Server is right now yet we still keep making Domino work on that crap. MacOSX Server is not UNIX at all. At the presentation layer it's a very smooth and very easy to manage server. The gooey insides are of course UNIX like but don't fool yourself....FreeBSD wished on a good day to GUI like MacOSX Server does. And I love FreeBSD.

I've decided to upgrade my vote to promote (was neutral). I don't think it'll happen so I'm not holding my breath, but it'd be nice.
