 One of the great things about Notes and Domino has been the iterative growth of features. Well, that was true until about 4 years ago. Lately, a lot has been said about IBM's poor performance in keeping Domino's security stack up to date:

 Not that we've heard ANYTHING from IBM on this topic, but that's not the point of this idea..

The HTTP/2 protocol is rapidly being developed and accepted.
" The standardization effort comes as an answer to the rise of SPDY, an HTTP compatible protocol launched by Google[3] and supported in Chrome, Opera, Firefox, Internet Explorer 11 and Amazon Silk browsers. Full detail: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP/2 "

As paying customers of a pretty expensive product, I think we have a we have a fair expectation that we see HTTP/2 support in Domino on the roadmap across all platforms, just as we expect TLS 1.3 and SHA-2+ across all protocols on all platforms.

I have opened a PMR with IBM on this, waiting on an SPR I can reference.

For humans out there, a PMR is a "Problem Management Request" that you can open with support. If IBM chooses to, the will create an SPR ("") based on the PMR.
Other IBM customers can call in and create PMRs that reference and add weight to an SPR.

==================
(IBMlish --> English)
What's a PMR, SPR, APAR?
{ Link }

PMR - A PMR is a Problem Management Request which is a document used to manage any technical product issue that a customer reports to IBM.
SPR - Software Problem Report. a record in the Lotus software problem reporting system that is used to track an identified software problem -- similar to IBM's APAR, however an SPR may also be used within the incident tracking database to classify an incident's status. { Link }
APAR - An APAR (authorized program analysis report) is a term used in IBM for a description of a problem with an IBM program that is formally tracked until a solution is provided.

What's an APAR?

Update:
"...
I have completed the creation of Software Problem Report #ITDL9PMP32 (APAR #LO82258) reporting the issue to the Domino Development team.
....
I have created Software Problem Report asking that the product be enhanced to do this in a future release."

If you wish, please open PMR in support of this SPR/APAR

I thought there was already a published SPR. I know I have several companies added to the request. What is so bizarre about this is the silence from IBM on the topic. It's as if they can't provide the feature, but don't want to say anything. Just bizarre. Here is where a Roadmap { Link } would be comforting.

Looks like we got it now. { Link }

@David
While those documents are very welcome (!!!!), none of them mention or reference HTTP v2 support.
So, I'd have to say, "we don't got it" (at least fully).

This idea is not about SHA-2 or TLS, it's about the HTTP 2 standard:

Good point. But as I understand it, this is the interim fix and more is coming. Guess we should go back to holding our breath.

A guide to providing HTTP/2 connectivity to your Domino-based website is now available on the AGECOM website at:

{ Link }

Using NGINX (a free open-source high-performance HTTP server and reverse proxy) you can provide HTTP/2 connectivity to your Domino-based website enabling web pages to load much faster.

The technical guide provides you with all the steps to install and configure NGINX to work with your Domino server. It includes detailed information, examples, and sample files. We've successfully implemented this solution on a number of customer sites who use Domino for their website. I hope it's of benefit to the Lotus / Domino Community.
