This is basically a good suggestion, but I'm not sure putting it in the Notes client is a good idea. There are several applications available to make it possible to print any kind of document to a PDF with full fidelity, both free and paid-for. Adding that functionality to the Notes client could only serve to make an already heavy client even heavier, without really adding relevant functionality.
@0 Yes, please type PDF into the search bar. There are three main threads for a similar ticket; please link them here for completeness.
I like the option inside of word processors, as it is handy. Know that on Macintosh systems as well as Linux, you can print to PDF from any application. To be fair, I haven't checked with Windows 7 or 8 recently, so I will refraining from commenting therein; XP did not perform this functionality natively.
I think the client will not die from one additional function. But on the other hand I understand that it is unlikely to be implemented. P.S. Can be implemented on Java - will work on any platform.
