Idea:

It is great that Blackberrys can read attachments in emails. But as we encourage users to send "links" to Quickr folders instead of sending the actual documents, Blackberry users no longer have access to the documents. (At least we haven't figured it out...)

Okay, Quickr is a web application. I know. But why it is not possible to have direct access to the Quickr databases & data with the notes client?

It's not a really smart solution with a connector that can just save attachments - an just only ONE attachment - in Quickr out of my mail database (see link to another Idea).

Idea:

Quickr gives you the functions for creating custom forms to submit to your place. This is great, it would even be better if they gave the user a means of viewing the data. An easy to use view creating page would be ideal, choose the fields you would like to see and be able to arrange them in a manner that would display the data any way you would like. A bonus would be to add a simple export to Excel button to the views.

Idea: The Quick Library facility allows you to create folders and provides a view of documents in a chosen folder. When you drill into a particular document and then choose to edit it or Check it out etc. and then complete this task, you are brought back to the document page. So far so good.

However there seems to be no means to navigating back up to the view showing the documents in that folder. The Back button keeps you on the document each time it is pressed. The only option I can see seems to be to click on the library and navigate back down through your folder and sub-folder structures. Am I missing something?

Idea: Workflow capabilities within Quickr for the "typical" end-user are limited to one type of sequential/concurrent workflow per form. I would like to have the Quickr superusers be able to have different workflows triggered from a form based on the values in specific fields within the form.

Idea: Currently you can create easily create forms with fixed fields in Quickr. I would like to create forms where you could vary the fields based on the value of the preceeding field. For example, if I am reporting sofftware and hardware issues using a form, today I have to create a form for each of them, since the questiosn and information I need differ depending on the type of issue reported. It would be easier if I could have a drop down box that would allow you to select the type of issue you want to report (hardware, software or other) and then have the following fields vary depending on the initial selection.

Idea:

Yup, that means support for all the same connectors as on Windows - Notes client, Sametime, Office/Outlook and Desktop/Finder. If you had to drop one, then I could understand losing the Office connector, but I think the other three are essential.

I love Quickr, a million times better than Quickplace.

Just put up a Quickr server. As the admin I see all of the Quickplaces, 100's actually.

Now I created a demo one.

How am I supposed to get to it easily from the http://servername/quickplace opening page?

There is no search or find because the average user has a few, maybe a page or 2, I have 18 pages!

So please add a search place so I can get to the place in question easily.

It works well, BUT WHERE THE HELL IS IT!

I just read the doc on Domino user because I felt too stupid not seeing the option to save files or attach links or anything in an easy and obvious fashion.

The Domino.Doc enabler at least came up in the save options.

I should be able to right click and save to a Quickr site.

I should also be able to open and see them from the client workspace.

It should be a right click option or in the save dialog or in the open dialog and it isn't.
Just show it where the user expects it.

Today you can only save one attachment at a time to Quickr from a Lotus Notes email. Should be able to save multiple files at a time to Quickr if you want to bundle them into one Quickr "binder" or folder.

Idea:

Whenever I want to replace s system form (e.g. Upload, Post, etc.) in Quickr Domino with a custom form that has additional fields, I have to recreate the system form, field by field, and then add the new fields. I would like the ability to "copy" a system form when creating a new form so that I don't have to recreate the basic form.

Currently, if you "misplace" a file or a folder in Quickr Domino, you can find it in the index and navigate to it. However, you still don't know where it is located. The only way to determine a location is to move the file or index. There should be a way to tell where the file/folder is located without having to go through the unnecessary step of moving it.

ActiveX controls are used by default in Quickplace to upload and download attchments amongst other things.

In my experience the number 1 user support issue In Quickplace and Quickr are users who are not allowed to use ActiveX or with broken installations of the ActiveX controls. These problems can often not be resolved which leaves the available option to disable ActiveX controls for the whole place, but this will obviously disable it for all users of the place. This then then makes life difficult for contributors who need to upload multiple files and stops place managers using the custom themes option.

In addition to disabling ActiveX for a place users should be able to do it on their own preferences page where they currently can set their TimeZone etc.

This is kind of an annoying omission. Particularly when an employee spends several hours setting up a file structure in a new Quickr Place, only to find out later that the files need to be sorted in a particular order.

Create a Single Sign On process for all of the IBM Lotus Product Clients. It could use the operating system credentials or other back end stores, to authenticate a user to the server.

You could even create a browser plug-in that could exchange the data with a web page, so you would not have to reauthenticate with Domino Web Access, Sametime Meeting Center, Quickr, Connections..........

Currently, Quickr can only access one LDAP directory for authentication. If you want (or need) to provide access from multiple LDAP directories this isn't possible. For example, you have a Domino LDAP directory and an Active Directory structure, you are forced to use native Domino directory w/ directory assistance for Quickr to see the AD users. This prohibits you from integrating with Sametime since LDAP is necessary.

My idea is to provide the same or similar capability that exists in Sametime today to access multiple LDAP directories so that integration is possible.

For smaller sites (50-200 users), it would be extremely useful to be able to install Domino (mail), sametime (chat), and Quickr on one server.

Even if the long term target use is going to require multiple servers, it lets them try it all out before committing to (for them) a vast increase in hardware.

Idea:

My company has had a lot of speed issues with users accessing Quickr from outside of our company network, especially overseas users who may only have access to dial-up connections. A lot of these users don' t need the full functionality of Quickr, just the ability to put documents in and take documents out. A stripped down, bare bones, FAST running version of Quickr would be ideal for those users and allow us to get more use from the program.
