Idea:

If you are away from your primary workstation/laptop and you log on to a another system to use Sametime , your chat transcripts would be stored in the cloud for retrieval at a later time when you return to your primary workstation/laptop. A time limit could be set chat retrieval to prevent excessive storage requirements or the process could be triggered automatically by designating a primary station in Sametime.

Could also be used for chats on mobile device platforms.

If function was implemented chats could be retrieved without been tied to specific locations.

Chats would be store in on-line storage and would be available for a set period of time week/month before deletion. Chats would then be downloaded to primary station and integrated with primary client.

An amendment to this idea would be if you are involved in a multi-way chat and need to log off for a period of time , maybe to travel to another location , that when you are back online and the chat is still active the system would automatically update the history of the chat for the time period you were offline.
