Idea:

.. extends NotesDocument (I suppose). Would allow access to 'prohibit design/refresh' flag, Template inheritence and other options.

I know some of this stuff can be done using tricks, but I think it's worth formalising the class.

Comment: Its not exactly a hack... There is an existing NotesNoteCollection class that provides access to design documents. Template inheretence can be found in the $Class field. For LS you need to learn to deal with what is already there.
