Idea:

Simply add a new categorised view to the Domino Directory, to display all groups by its members.

Additionally embedd this view into the Person-form in such a way that only the groups of the current person are shown. (Its about 10 minutes of work) :-)

And if you want it even better, then place a button into the Person-form which would completly resolve all group memberships (including nested groups) for this user and display them in a list.

Or just use the search bar?

Comment: I have no problem with the view begin added (as with Craig I have had this view in my directory for about a decade now), but embedding it into the Person document? I like the idea of being able to see group membership inside the person doc, but having it as an embedded view I fear will cause a performance hit that will unlikely be worth any value returned from having the data in the person doc to begin with.

Comment: We have found this type of view only necessary for "deny" groups when trying to resurrect an ID or to audit that a specific ID has been placed into Denied Access groups.

Comment: Like @3 @4, been putting this into all local Directory replicas so that I can data mine sans performance hits or violating client policy on design template modifications. It's handy.

Embedded views on the directory can kill server performance and might run into issues with servers that do not hold the entire directory, but pull it from a directory server to save bandwidth on replications...

An action button in the view could well, cause challenges with creating lookup views or crawling on the fly and invoke impromptu performance demands on the administration server. More complexity than needed for little gain.

Just make a local replica with receive only replication and code the template to your hearts-content. Probably safer and avoids any performance hits.
