LinkJam / : Prohibit public links (not my links) to translate into private

Author: Vadim Shvayko
Tags: usability bug
Idea:

when I chose public link (Top 10 custom JavaScript functions of all time) and proceeded on the link "copy" I noted the box "Private?" and clicked "Submit" actually copied this link in the "My Links", but looking at the overall list of links noticed that the link appeared in cap marked "private". I made my logout links are not proved. Is the section "Links" common to all types of references, those that are unique or personal? see result on the screenshot...

or as an idea to prohibit public links (not my links) to translate into private ...

Author: Matt White
Comment: Vadim,

If I've understood correctly you've created a private link when you were logged in, then you logged out and you can no longer see the private link anywhere?

This is working correctly, you will only see your private links when you are logged in. And when you are logged in you will see them in both the "All Links" and "My Links" screens but they will show up with a "private" flag so that you know that only you can see them.

Hope this helps.

Matt
