Idea:

We use roaming profiles for all our client users. Not because they use multiple machines, but for data recovery and troublshooting purposes. I would like to have the client's log.nsf added to the files that get replicated up to the server as part of roaming profiles.

Comment: I can see how that would be helpful for troubleshooting, but the benefit isn't big enough. The data in the log has no intrinsic value unless there is a problem with the computer. If you have to look at a client log.nsf, you will probably already need to visit the desktop. Then just use a remote control tool. Fine idea, but I would have no use for it.

That would be true if I always had remote access to the PC's. I don't. Alot of the time, we are trying to walk people thru things over the phone. By having the log.nsf centrally located, it would help see if they are having re-occurring issues that need to be addressed.

Comment: Some of those local log.nsf files can grow to be quite large (but usually just a few megabytes)... mine is over 1GB; but I am not the usual usage case. Not sure I would want that to roam if over say 15MB. Perhaps a admin client plug-in on the Person tab to grab the user's log file...it would compress and route internally to an admin DB. Not a 100% sold on it, but it might make for a good brainstorming seed.
