We can always get improvements to extension library - especially mobile controls could be updated and more fleshed out. But we use Form Table and Form Row a lot and not had any problems with it.

And XPages.TV for Videos. :-)

I talked about data binding on several shows in my Notesin9 series. They can be found at notesin9.com and also on XPages.TV.

I've not done anythng with the Data Table control itself yet, but you'll find things videos on binding for sure.

I love this idea! Trigger Happy isn't a great solution any more because it's unsupported and probably doesn't run on every platform.

It would be great to have triggers to catch deletes from the backend.

You're correct that that is an option in iNotes. When I did my quick iNotes test that didn't work for me. I might have been on an old tempalte, but it does appear that "live scrolling" is in iNotes Full mode.

But this idea is really more about the Notes Client. There is no live scrolling in the notes client that I can find.

Just compare the iPhone icons to the Notes Workspace. Both provide the same functionality. But which would you like to use and "click on"?

Anything that will make "prettier" for the users is a huge win! We need to take away the "Ugly" excuse as a reason users don't like Notes.

Please give us PNG support in databases, and support for better icons for the databases!!! if would be great if we had full control over the "Box" so it could be a full graphic rather then just a box with an icon inside it. Maybe an icon "editor" could let us import the graphic and specify "drop zones" like here are the Unred marks field, here is where the server name goes if it's turned on by the user.. Database name should be optional...

I like the thought of the list. But if someone uses "Bad Idea" it would be nice to get a reason why they think it's a bad idea... Getting a "Bad Idea" without a comment isn't as valuable I don't think.

I like the idea. Though I bet it would be a ton of work for IBM. Microsoft Access has had a run time version for ever.

I love this idea. Why not make the client free and have iBM just charge for the CAL connection to the server? I guess there would need to me some modification to allow the user to generate an id file.
If IBM were to make the client free, they should make designer free as well.

But I think it should be the full fledged client. It should be allowed to run custom applications. Then someone could download additional functionality from OpenNTF. Maybe productivity templates, or whatever.

I agree it would be nice if Design Refresh/Replace were added to the Right Click menu, but I refresh the design of a database from the admin client all the time but just highlighting the database and choosing File-Application-Refresh Design. Replace is available as well.

Am I missing something in the idea?
