Double click to adjust view column width

Just as you can do in Excel, double click the column edge to adjust its length to fit the content.
I've searched and found no similar ideas. Sorry if it has existed.

Replace inch for pixels/percentage throughout Designer

I have no idea how inch came in the picture for defining size for design attributes (must be someone who measured his weener often) but in the 2010 world I believe pixels or percentage are more common size to define width/height of objects.
 
Can we have this also in Designer ...

Predominantly for table column widths, but I'd like to see all design element widths based upon a formula
 
I realise it couldn't be done for Views (after all, which document's fields would you use?) but for tables, it would be nice to expand or reduce a column width based ...
