Marking within computed richtext field in edit mode

If you have a computed richtext field you cannot mark any of its content when being in edit mode. Same applies to richtext fields "secured" by access restricted sections.
 
I would like the ability to mark, search, copy, drag n drop all the contents of such a richtext field.
