Lotus Foundations needs a simple alternative to Sharepoint
Ibm don't have the tools for capture the Small Business Company into the world.
Lotus Foundations is a killer system if IBM sold well ..but If IBM would sell this product must:
- Execute local marketing
- Create a simple portal for purchare the license and obtain support ...
Seems that Domino HTTP runs on a non-standard port due to the built-in Foundations web server using the standard web ports. I've seen at least one add-on product to accomplish this but wonder why it takes a third part when this config option should be built-in.
It would be great to see Foundations become a platform for ALL the Domino family of products, as this could certainly lead to the "one server to rule them all" model for small businesses. This would also really be a win against Sharepoint - as you can easily add Sharepoint ...
In an SMB environment especially, where Email is king of collaboration, and they don't have SANS or even an IT department, we need the disk space relief that DAOS gives.

Most small businesses use some version of QuickBooks from Intuit as their accounting system. It is the "SAP of the SMB Market." There needs to a framework to exchange data between the QuickBooks database and any Domino application.
One should be able to charge a meeting in Lotus Notes ...
Antivirus database are Karsperky in Lotus Foundations...
why do not you think an additional client add.on karsperky?
