: Lotus Technical Information / Other
: notes.net, developerworks
Peter von Stöckel2682 - 02 2010 / (5)
In September 2010, IBM removed the Sandbox from developerWorks Lotus. With that removal, they also broke countless forum responses that link to specific Sandbox files, as well as links from countless blogs and web sites all over the world.

There are two ways to fix this. Either put the ...

Change the way you, as a customer, can weigh on SPR's

: Lotus Technical Information / Other
: spr
Mathieu Pape7680 - 19 2013 / (8)
I've opened quite a lot of PMR's over time. A lot of them do not get any further than "an SPR exists but has no or not enough weight; if enough weight then it will be fixed". Weight is given by opening a PMR. This is of course an understandable way ...

Richard Schwartz3723 - 16 2010 / (0)
This is in response to Ben Langhinrichics' request for book proposals.

There hasn't been a book on the C API since the early 90s.  In the format Ben describes, one could probably only just scratch the surface of setting up your development environment; understanding the most important API ...

Commission more developerWorks content from non-IBM authors

: Lotus Technical Information / Other
: developerworks
Jeff Gilfelt1049 - 01 2008 / (4)
Of late I have found that the number of technical articles and tutorials in the developerWorks Lotus zone written by IBM employees far outweighs the number written by non-IBM authors. While I appreciate the insights and detail that is offered by the people who developed the products, I often find ...

Syntax Highlighter for the wikis

: Lotus Technical Information / Other
: xpage, html, wiki
John Smart833 - 02 2010 / (2)
A quick glace through wiki pages containing example code (example) proves a systemic usability problem.

The wikis should recognize code (through a code tag? through any <pre> tag where the contents start with a less-than character?) and automatically convert/highlight the code.

Syntax highlighters are usually done via ...

How many times did you need those for a presentation, training, documentation, ... ? And how many times did you find it in high quality via Google? Right ! Time for some official stuff especially with the load of existing and new IBM/Lotus branded products.

Bill Malchisky9254 - 09 2010 / (8)
As Passport Advantage goes offline for regular late night maintenance, IBM should post on the login page, when the service is available. How many times I needed a file late evening, only to find you get this lovely descriptive error message during login.

: Lotus Technical Information / Other
: author, community, product documentation
Jennifer Heins221 - 19 2009 / (13)
Have you ever wondered who wrote the product documentation? Would you like to see their names on topics in the information center? This would help you see who in the community, contributing on developerWorks and the wikis, is also a writer of the product documentation.

"lotus knows" failed. maybe not everywhere, but i'm sure in EMEA countries. ibm gave money and ideas to this managers, but they didn't do their best. One picture every 5 weeks in press is not marketing!!!

William Eberle138 - 10 2010 / (3)
In addition to the many existing links to Lotus Community personalities on Facebook, provide similar links to LinkedIn.  I don't want to debate the relative merits of Facebook vs. LinkedIn, but LinkedIn is developing (has developed) a very strong and active Lotus Community presence and can provide another mechanism to access ...

Show release dates of LN Language Groups on IBM Fix List site (or other)

: Lotus Technical Information / Other

Mathieu Pape7680 - 21 2011 / (0)
The IBM Notes/Domino fix list (http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/r5fixlist.nsf/%28Progress%29/) already gives an idea of the release dates of clients but not of their different language "spin-offs".

It would be nice to see when the different Language Groups come out.
