Idea:

If you use the preview (either side or bottom) in mail, then you can respond to mail as usual as the view contains the relevant action buttons, however if you preview a calendar invite, then you have to fully open it to respond to the invite.

The appropriate action buttons should be available at the view level, or at least in the invite preview

Idea:

Even since R3, I have thought that the view link would be more useful if it would open a view and move the selection point to the document in the view that was selected when the view was copied as a link.

That way you can link to an entire thread in context, rather than just one document within it.

Idea:

As well as allowing resized properties dialog the ability to see entire properties (e.g. filename) is crucial. So is the ability to copy a property to clipboard, e.g. Replica ID from the dialog.

I also think that all db properties should be availble from one dialog, i.e. main properties, ACL, Replicaiton properties, Archive properties etc without having to open different dialogs.

I also feel that Replication settings etc should be availble as a multi-select in the Admin client

Comment: I'm voting down not because I don't think this is a good idea, but because I think it's basically moot, since the trend is to get rid of the properties box as a whole. Look at Symphony for the new direction! :-D

Idea:

We often get asked to transfer folders of email between users (i.e. on role change).

This is similar to the linked idea for calendars, but for email messages.

I have written an agent that copies entire folders from one users mailfile to another users mailfile. Having this functionality native would be useful.

In its basic terms - it is copying/moving folders and their documents between databases

It's about time that Notes Rich Text editor allowed inline spell checking, as is done in Word, Firefox, IE7, Oulook(!) etc.

Optional of course - but essential all the same

Comment: Yes Notes 8 does offer in-line spell checking in both basic and standard clients. Paul the Idea Jam does allow you to "Withdraw" an idea if you would like.

Comment: I've always thought both the U.S. (mm/dd/yyyy) and European (dd/mm/yyyy) date formats were illogical. One still needs to have sort routines for them.

How about yyyy/mm/dd?
