Idea:

The current method of first entering text, then highlighting it, then choosing Create - Hotspot - Link Hotspot, then entering a URL into the tiny field in the properties box, really needs to be modernized. The best method I've seen for this so far is Facebook's "Post a link" tool, where it even adds in a thumbnail and meta data for you automatically!

Comment: How about a toolbar icon "Create URL Hotspot" which if clicked checks the clipboard for text that looks like a URL. If it finds one, it is prefilled in the new hotspot's URL property. How often do we really type in the URL manually??? I, for one, really do that VERY rarely.

Comment: Agreed. You can do this for DocLinks, Attachments, etc. Why not URL Links.

Today, if someone sends me an email (or posts a document in a database) that contains an image (not an attachment) I can not save that image to my computer.

Comment: I do agree that being able to rightclick an embedded image would be great.

There is one workaround however, in your preferences you can set the notes client to display inline images as attachments, then when you open the email you will see an attachment that you can save instead of seeing the actual image.

This workaround does mess up html emails that have embedded images.

Comment: Or a ctrl-click (and a tool-tip to that effect,) rather than just a click, when in edit mode, so that you don't accidentally launch the site, when all you wanted to do was position the insertion bar inside the word or url.

Also, how about activating the link as soon as it is recognized as one, assuming it is entered like { Link }

I'd like to have a drop down list which enables me to choose the signature I want added to the email. (or blog/forum post) Today I get around this by using my Paste Information application, but I'd rather have this integrated.

Idea:

This would be similar to permanent pen, but you would not have have to turn it on/off.

Mac Mail.app makes this very simple. (as does Outlook I beleive)

I'd like to have a filter field at the top of views (similar to search box) that I can enter characters into and the view will filter in real time as characters are entered.

Instead of adjusting the column width via the ruler or the properties box, I'd like to be able to resize columns by directly dragging the column borders.

Domino Designer / : Provide the ability to lock a column, row (document), or category when scrolling.

When I create a table, and choose fixed width, I'd like to be able to enter the width right there, and not have to do it afterwards via the properties box.
