It would be great if I could set the DOCTYPE for all pages generated for a given database. It needs to be able to be set at the application level because different applications could use different DOCTYPEs. The setting would work for xPages, Forms, Pages, and Agents.
This setting could be overridden

Using the iNotes Web-Template (WebMail) users have the possibility to log-out (+ even delete all cookies etc. when using a public computer).
But when viewing a Document Library on the web there is not logout option ....

Add the Facebook Like (iFrame-version) to Wiki Post footers to allow readers to click-to-share useful articles and help promote contributions beyond the typical reach of the "yellow bubble".
It's a single line of JavaScript and you're done.

Seems that Domino HTTP runs on a non-standard port due to the built-in Foundations web server using the standard web ports. I've seen at least one add-on product to accomplish this but wonder why it takes a third part when this config option should be built-in.

I love the new Notes8 Domino Web lockout feature. BUT, the lockout will not trigger with an LDAP authentication failure. We use a reverse proxy server that does a LDAP lookup to the Domino Directory before redirecting users to their final iNotes email location. It's not that useful a feature, if

RSS feeds work pretty well on the BlackBerry--but if you click read story on any blog that uses the 8.5 blog template, it goes to the website and it looks pretty lousy. The tag and header sections hog up the top of the webpage, and then you have to zoom

Imagine going to buy your morning coffee and being told by the vendor "I only make expresso and tea". But "I want a Latte" you say. She says "I could make a Latte but then I'd have to make a Latte for everyone". She doesn't sound very flexible and neither

Used in a browser, the R&R db is quite old. It should be updated to be more useable.

The Lotus Foundation resets the redirected tcp/ip to SSL selection on the server doc, when it starts up so you can't use any http access. The only choice to host a public website in Domino is to puchase a valid SSL cert.
It would be really nice is there was a

I've been wanting to come up with a good session idea for years, and I've realized recently that I don't see a lot of sessions strictly on using Domino as a web server. Plenty of stuff for developers, but nothing on the admin side. As someone who's used the Domino

JavaScript is both a procedural and object oriented language. If we do anything with JavaScript we are using objects, but we may not know it. Classes allow us to create our own objects that can be used repeatedly to simplify and empower our applications. In this session we will design,

Currently archive settings for the Notes client are not synched with Domino Web Access. Users (or administrators) must manually add the archive database to Domino Web Access preferences. Since DWA users are able to access their archives from the web, it only makes sense that the settings should be synched

I've found myself in a remote location and to take care of a emergency, it's easy to use the webadmin.nsf.
Quite a few times, I need to open a db in the File tab, and I cannot.
This stops me from seeing exactly what the end user issue is.

Domino allows to restrict access based on the remote IP address. That's fine, but not of much use in many cases. When it comes to fighting spam and unwanted robots, it would be much more usefull to be able to block access based on the user agent string. In Apache, this

The following scenario:

2. User starts to work on a document on his web client.
3. User plays WII tennis match with his collegue.
4. User returns to his document and presses an ajax enabled button. Unfortunatedly in the meantime his web session has

Most web servers already support the ability to combine content from various sources into a single HTML page on the server but Domino does not.
Domino needs this! An example is an HTML page which pulls content from Domino DBs into an otherwise static HTML page. Some might say the page

It's not possible to zoom text size in the internal browser (not the one used in the w32 client anyway) which for example makes Bob's (Balaban) blog entries impossible to read.

Make Pasting Smarter
I often compose email messages that need to include content from a web page. A simple cut/paste into a Notes email often results in an ugly email. I find myself trying to use "Paste Special", trying various formats, and then cleaning it up.
There are several similar "ideas" here that relate

I am not sure that I can explain it correctly, but the idea consists of several elements that work together
1. add XSL as resource type to the database
2. add an event "Use XSL" similar to "HTML Body attributes" to the form that can contain a formula that results to a
