I Lotus Notes there is an option:
Preferences -> Windows and Themes -> "On restart, reopen any tabs that were open when I closed the client".

This is a very good feature in Lotus Notes and I wish that it also would be available in Lotus Symphony 3

Ability to merge change and to realtime show updates on the form when content changes.

Hendrik Jan van Meerveld135 - Jul 2, 2010 / Comments (4)
If an agent, replication, or save action from another user changes the back-end document, then show this in the front-end UI document.

This Idea comes from a comment from Bruce Lill in idea "Problems of conflict situations".
Bruce, I like it so much that I made this idea out of it. Credits to

Quickr recognises the Browser and provides appropriate template

Johan Koopman699 - Nov 13, 2009 / Comments (2)
Lotus market Quickr as a great solution that run's under different browser types like IE, Mozilla and Safari.

However the user experience running under the different browser is completely different. The user experience is great with IE because it uses ActiveX. The User experience expectations in Mozilla and Safari are the

Navigation of properties window

Rob Goudvis6575 - Oct 8, 2009 / Comments (6)
I have a properties window pointing at the Form properties of an opened form. When I switch to another (opened) form the properties window will no longer show the Form properties, but switches to a Text properties window.

Why can't the former selection not be kept? I see no reason for

Add @DialogBox, @PickList and @Prompt for x-pages

Gernot Hummer610 - Jul 6, 2009 / Comments (0)
I know that it's obviously something different to have the formula functionality in Lotus Notes and on the web browser, however, there has to be a way without getting crunk on Dojo to implement this functionality. At least @DialogBox with another xPage to open (maybe with a view control to

Move Save as new version below Save in File menu

Fred Husoy730 - Apr 17, 2009 / Comments (0)
I do not know if this is only in the Norwegian version of Notes, but in the Windows File menu, the Save as new version is placed between the Open and Close actions. Often I see that users do not find it.

A more natural location would be below the Save

Document Window should allow Resizing

Craig Boudreaux270 - Apr 8, 2009 / Comments (0)
Similar to Word, Excel and even Symphony, the document container window should be allowed to be resized.  Many people like to use higher resolutions which cause the menus and toolsbars to shrink, but also make the document container shrink as well.  In MS Word the solution is to use the

Now we can see unread counts for all the databases on the workspace page. But it will be more comfortable to have an option for a single database - show unread.

Activities - Dynamically sized edit-boxes on Web Interface

Alex Forbes303 - Oct 23, 2008 / Comments (2)
Currently, when editing a Comment, To Do or other entry in the Activities web interface, you can only see about 6 or 7 lines of text in the edit box. This makes it very hard to edit entries of non-trivial length. I would like to see an option to make

Activities - More status options

Alex Forbes303 - Oct 23, 2008 / Comments (1)
Currently you can only mark a To Do or Activity  as "Complete" or "Incomplete". Having only a boolean choice between these options makes it difficult to see, at a glance, the bigger picture of the activity and makes it harder to collaborate.

I'd like to see a system where the current

I'm happy to say that this abstract was submitted as a co-presentation with the one and only Tom Duff!  Since we've officially put the abstract together, I wanted to update this idea to include the new one.  My initial thoughts on this subject are below that.  Thanks for voting!
