We have a UI overhaul for Notes client in version 8.0 and Domino Designer on 8.5 so I think that it's time that Domino Administrator client receive the spotlight. There are quite a number of good idea on this space about how this client can be revamped to make daily

For work as an administrator and user I would be welcome the opportunity to run the Lotus Notes client with logging in through the normal user ID and same time on the same PC running Lotus Domino Administrator client with be logged via administrator ID.

When users attach an image to a question or answer they should show inline, or at a minimum have preview thumbnails.

Suggestions to improve the Search from the Designer Search menu:
- In the search box to add the option "Whole word".
- In "Scope" (Workspace, Working Set) to add "Databases" to manually select specific databases to choose from can be a specific Working Set. If the

It would be useful to have the list of views in the Designer client either display the "Last Indexed" date or the "Last Accessed" date, which are already stored and accessible in the properties, in a column, so that it is easier to determine which views are no longer used and

to demonstrate this problem: Create a form with a few text fields and place a radio button field with 2 or more values in the middle of the text fields. i.e. TEXT TEXT RADIO TEXT TEXT. Create a document with the form and reopen it in edit mode

Don't get me wrong, I believe the Notes calendar in Notes 8.x is greatly improved. But IMHO it is still way behind compared to let's say the GMail Calendar, when it comes to entering a new entry and rescheduling entries.
It might be time to take it to the next level.

This book discusses real world scenarios for XPage application. It provides examples & tips on how to build attractive interfaces for your Domino applications using IBM Lotus User Interface.

Create a software/Designer component that allows you to create custom themes.

The default server in the Open Application dialog is always reset to 'Local'. This is annoying if you use the shortcut Ctrl+O to open databases - oohps, applications. Our applications are NEVER local, and even if you work locally it would still make more sense to keep the last used

1. In the present implementation the document is locked when double-click, that is, before the commencement of Querymodechange! This is wrong - on Querymodechange there are some conditions for which are not permitted to translate the document into edit mode.
I propose to block the document between Querymodechange and Postmodechange,

I've noticed that 2 main methods of tagging things seem to exist on the web these days - flickr style, where you just use space, and have to put quotes around multi-word tags, or, strictly comma seperated. Since these two, and others may exist, I think it would be useful

I think it would help with the usabaility of IQ Jam if a way was provided to denote which fields are required. e.g. I constantly make the mistake of not adding tags and then fall asleep after I hit the submit button not realizing the idea was not sucessfully submitted

When viewing the Objects list for a form in designer, instead of just fieldname (Field), tell me what kind of field "(Field)" is.
e.g. (Field - Text)

In a recent twitter conversion a person had a complaint that Notes didn't have "Live Scrolling" in email.
Live Scrolling is where you take the scroll bar and dragging it instantly updates your view.
His comment was that this is just "expected behavior" in a modern

I know we just got open in new back on tabs in 8.5, but I've become used to the tear off tabs in Chrome and now Firefox, so, I'd like to see tear off tabs to new window implemented in the Eclipse UI.

By default every user sees the same design of the Domino directory, including all configuration data and the ugly person documents. There's simply too much information for the end user. He doesn't need to see everybody's home server, public key data or password policy. Some of potentially essential infos are
