When You have activated the internet lockout feature of the Domino server, I would like to be able to have the function to also send a text message (SMS) to the users registered mobile phone, informing him/her that his account has been locked because of too many incorrect attemts.

There is no way to restrict access on selected documents at once.
You have to go to Edit Properties and change "Who Can Access This" document per document.
This procedure is time consuming!
Why can't I selected multiple documents and change the access rights?

This is one of the items I wanted to be fixed in Notes 8.x.
I know this is a repost of an Idea of Marie Scott but it is still valid. Marie Scott posted her idea in 2008 but it isn't solved yet.
"With Lotus Notes 8 came the change in

Being the deployment guy, I must have done this countless times - copying the ACL entries from one database and pasting into another - one by one. Why not have the ability to copy them all on the click of a button and paste into another? The user name, user type and

Readers field security is a wonderful thing.
My idea is to add a new data type to Domino which offers the exact opposite of the Readers data type, that is, if a name, group or role is listed in a field of this type then that person, group or role will

Using the iNotes Web-Template (WebMail) users have the possibility to log-out (+ even delete all cookies etc. when using a public computer).
But when viewing a Document Library on the web there is not logout option ....

Notes security is configured at different levels. We all know about the database ACL.
At document level we have reader fields (who is allowed to see the document), author fields (who is allowed to edit the document)
There is a similar need for document level delete protection. I propose a new concept

I just blogged about it.
http://lotusnotus.com/lotusnotus_en.nsf/dx/be-careful-to-click-links-on-inotes.htm
When a user clicks a url coming with e-mail, referrer information is going to the remote web server. This information includes iNotes server url and name of the mail database.

When creating a new field in lotus notes it will be good to have the possibility to choose if the field will be hide or not in the document properties .
Actually it's not easy to do it:
- Replace design and hide Formula\Lotuscript -> will hide all fields sometime we need to

Lotus Notes still has two features that seperate itself from other development platforms. One is that the DB and document connectivety is built in. The second is its built in security model.
To make it easier to assign security to specific sections of documents you should be able to just pick

By default, I want my notes internal mail messages signed, but I do not have or need a certificate to sign internet messages.
When I try to send an internet message, a dialog pops up asking me whether it is okay to send the message anyway, having asked to sign it while

If a (web) user knows or guesses the name of a view, he/she can read the complete content of the view as XML using ?readviewentries.
Directly opening a view can be easily prevented using e.g. $$ViewTemplateDefault.
I know you can use url redirection, but those are server-settings, usually not available to a

I like the remote administration page in webconfig. It's a nice way to view the computers in your network and connect to them. I also like the option of VNC to control different client types. Nice stuff for admins!
But what do our end-users get? either

I would like to be able to capture an ID activity even that ID file doesn't have a mailfile associated with it. I would like to run a report that will show the specific ID activity in the past 5-10-50-90 days, when it was logged in, what databases it accessed etc.

One latent worry I've always had is that an obscure bug will one day surface in a mailout agent causing an infinite loop, or even a hacker finding a way to hijack application logic and pump out spam.
I would propose that the router have controls that allow the admin to

Currently there is no version of Notes/Domino that supports connecting to a site/web service that only supports Transport Layer Security (TLS) also know as SSL version 3.1.
As more and more sites are implementing TLS (and some are implementing them exclusivly) it keeps domino developers from being able to architect a

A customer posted a feedback comment stating that the "Using ESM in a cluster" documentation is confusing unless you have a comprehensive understanding of TAM. After speaking with the ESM and Cluster developers, it was decided that this is too complex to describe in the InfoCenter and would be best

The ACL has a couple of valuable check boxes available for Reader and below: "Read public documents" and "Write public documents"
However, we just discovered that there's no option for "Create public documents"
Here's where we would use it.
We define a group of people that have Reader access.

Notes provides several security mechanisms to prevent unauthorized users from creating documents. First and foremost, we have the database ACL, which controls access at the file level. If all forms in the database have the same security requirements, then security is simple - just assign the ACL level
