Spam Rule Option: "Add to Domino Domain Spamlist"

Atilla Öztürk659 - Dec 17, 2011 / Comments (15)
In a Domino Domain, it would be nice when the user can populate his own spam object as a domino domain-based rule.
So, each company builds up its own Spam Database automatically for a cleaner mail.box ;)

Addition (thnx, Kenneth):
Of course the submission of a Spamrule by users has to be

Mail rules run after reading

Zoltan Szabo4877 - Apr 11, 2011 / Comments (5)
Hi All,

I'm sure You have the same problem if You have a large complex folder structure. You got  a new mail, but the mail rule moves it into a folder somewhere deeeeeeep....then it's hard to find. Of course You can use "copy to folder" but then your inbox will be

Allow rules to check the "Principal", or check "Principal" as if it's "From"

Often I get emails that have crafted "Principal" fields, but are actually "from" a server or someone who signed an agent. It'd be useful to allow checking the Principal field as well

Domino processes the rules recursively so there is a chance of rules working againest each other. With that and the chance of mis-spelling or things just not working right.

It would be nice to be able to enter a url and have domino tell us what website docs/rules ect. apply to

Add an "edit" button to the conditions area of the mail rule dialog

Joseph Hoetzl4678 - Jul 31, 2009 / Comments (0)
The "Edit Rule" dialog should have an "edit" button below the "Add" button in the conditions area.  If you accidently to an "AND" instead of an "OR", you have to re-enter the rule condition and there is no direct way to cut/copy/paste the existing condition.

On Rejections by Mail Rule, Tell Which Rule

Tim Paque2747 - May 8, 2009 / Comments (2)

Often mail will be rejected by mail rules, often erroneously.   When the rejected by mail rule message either hits the senders prompt, or logs on the server,   Please give some sort of hint as to which, or even which type of mail rule was broken.

I'd like to be able to open an email and create a rule based on the subject, sender, body content, etc.  Similar to right-clicking on a message in Outlook and utilizing a dialog with the same options.

Mail Rules should allow for Trash not Junk

Why when you click on block a domain in R8 the auto rule is not editable?
And why does it not go to trash and ONLY goes to junk?
Shouldn't this be a user option?

Hi,

The rule is still active and produce some errors (and took CPU time and much more)...

I would like to have a change in the code which will

We have users who have lots of mail rules, in fact more than 100.  For this reason, they refuse to use Lotus Notes.

They are using Microsoft Outlook connector to connect to their Domino mailbox.  This is a support headache for us, and we are limited in a lot of things we

Allow us to use X-Spam-Level in rules

Hi,

in Lotus Domino 7.x (not sure if it is changed in R8.x) you can only add a *Possible_SPAM* to the subject (for example if you use Symantec Antispam or SpamAssasin) so that a rule can move this eMail to your spamfolder. But sometimes it happen that it isn´t spam. So

Automatic detection of replication/save conflicts

Currently there is no way to determine in real time when replication/save conflicts occur.  I would like to have the following:

1)  An event that gets triggered at the database level so we can resolve these in real time.
2)  Some way to determine which fields triggered the conflict.
3)  Replication/save conflict rules

Use rules (afterwards) for already existing mails

Rules are useful to manage incoming mails, but not for already existing mails in the mailbox.  Therefore I would like to have the ability to use rules for already existing mails.

Instead of using the input validation for each field, it would be nice to have a validation rules design element for the entire form.  You could add all your validation in one place using formula language.  The rules would run against the entire form and present the user with a

Add Headers as a Condition Option in Mail Rules

I think the mail rules would become really powerful if you could have email headers as an option for a condition.

Example:

Create Condition: Headers : Contains : X-Spam-Flag: YES
Action: Move to Junkmail
