Push RSS feeds to clients similar to widgets or via policies

David Hablewitz13448 - Jun 3, 2010 / Comments (0)
Make it possible to push RSS feed settings to clients to prepopulate them, similar to how widgets are pushed or via user policies.  Examples of feeds that would be useful this way are Lotus Notes tips (http ://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/notestipsblog.nsf/content.rss) or a company news website/database.

Make the Notes RSS Reader compatible to the RSS button in Firefox/IE

Stephan H. Wissel1685 - Nov 16, 2008 / Comments (0)
When discovering a new blog it takes one click on the RSS icon in the title bar to start the subscription process. In FF there is Blog Lines, Google Reader, FeedDaemon, RSSOwl, LiveBookmarks. Notes Client is missing, so it is cumbersome to add a feed. Add it to the list

RSS feeds for admin databases

I'd really love to see RSS/ATOM feeds provided for system databases. For example, admin4.nsf could have RSS feeds for errors and for requests pending approval. DDM could have RSS feeds for incoming events (possibly with the option to filter for certain categories, severities, or servers), and a personal feed for

Allow feeds as input to Dogear

Handly Cameron182 - Sep 18, 2008 / Comments (2)
Provide the ability to add a RSS/ATOM feed to Dogear.  New links in the feed would be added to Dogear, including propagation to the Home Page, Communities, Activities, watch lists, etc.

Why this would help:  Users of services such as Delicious or Mag.nolia would be able bring in their links from

I really am getting a lot of value out of RSS feeds in the Notes client.  I have found I am getting a pretty long list and it would be nice to have a way to categorize them  Maybe folders where you could drag and drop related RSS feeds so

What I would like is have the ability for Connections to pull an RSS feed from my blog and repost it in my Connections blog.  I would set up a feed just for a particular Connections community and only send items to that feed that I think are releavnt in the

RSS Tab / Positioning

Farzad Diba385 - Jan 8, 2008 / Comments (0)
Would like to be able to drag and drop the RSS Reader Sidebar to become a Tab along the top.

Drag and Drop is not necessary but the ability to make the RSS Reader a Tab like the Calendar is desireable to me.

All with appropriate parameters.
doc.html() view.html() doc.dxl() form.dxl() doc.rss()  view.atom() doc.json() outline.json() etc...

along with Axel's XPath idea:
forall x in o.dxl(<xpath>)...

import/constructor methods would be nice too.

RSS entries reset as unread

RSS entries which I have read often show as unread when I restart my Notes Client.
Also it would be great to be able to hide read posts altogether.

I hope these are addressed soon as I think it is enough to make you switch to a different reader.
