Support places in standard Open/Save Windows dialogs

I would rather prefer Quickr save to/open from place support in the standard Windows Open and Save dialog boxes ad Microsoft did for SharePoint. It will automatically solve "Save to Quickr as PDF" issue and eliminate the need to support Office intergation for individual versions of the product.

Do not replace list of design elements in center pane

Bas van Gestel2798 - Jan 26, 2011 / Comments (0)
I find it very frustrating that I cannot have a list of forms open in the center pane and a list of e.g. views from the same app. Just add an extra tab for the views when the forms is already open.

At the moment the only way I have found to open an existing Symphony document, presetation etc. from the Notes client workspace is to first select "Open Lotus Symphony xxx".  Only then does the Recent Files option appear in the File menu.  I think it would be much easier to

The 'Type to Find' feature in the Open menu, should return results from the local addressbook, so that its possible to search for contacts directly from the Open menu.

Database Open option - Open in containing Folder

Patrick Kwinten21943 - Jul 16, 2009 / Comments (0)
a good option for downloads in Firefox that you have the option to open a file highlighted in its containing folder. I guess it would be helpful to have something for (local) databases on your workspace.

Open in client - extend with Web browser

Patrick Kwinten21943 - Jun 6, 2009 / Comments (0)
OKej, so (in 8.5) you have from Designer the option to open the application in the client directly from the right mouse menu. Why not the same option but then for the web browser and open the application with the default launch option for the web?

Would save me some time...

Configure the applications to open an attachment

Marius Jaeger1884 - Dec 17, 2008 / Comments (4)
When you click on an attachment in a document, you have the options to open or edit the attachment. Wherever you click, the attachment will open/edit in the same application. It would be nice if the application that open an attachment for reading is configurable.
So, by example, i can open

for local databases the option to open just the containing folder would be a timesaver to navigate through your local data structure (see attached image).

I wish I could open views in a new window

David Bailey1391 - Jul 12, 2008 / Comments (2)
In Notes 8, 'Open in New Window' only works for documents.  In previous releases, you could open views.  I really miss that capability.

Ability to open DB from the WebAdmin.nsf file tab.

Brett Flagg294 - Apr 20, 2008 / Comments (4)
I've found myself in a remote location and to take care of a emergency, it's easy to use the webadmin.nsf.
Quite a few times, I need to open a db in the File tab, and I cannot.
This stops me from seeing exactly what the end user issue is.
This is built in

We use open office on many machines in our big company. So it would be nice if the build in lotus notes viewer can be used to read these open office document. Because not on every workstation is open office installed. Some user must read only those documents. In the

Make "Open"-button behave consistently

Robert Ibsen Voith3979 - Mar 7, 2008 / Comments (1)
The Open-button (click on it, or ALT + B to open) has a great "Type to find" field at the top, which let you search for databases on words in the database title. However, the index behind the Open-button seems to live its own life. Sometimes I find a database

Open dialog after attachment save

Tomas Ekström1576 - Feb 4, 2008 / Comments (1)
After saving attachments to disk, I would like to have a dialog where I can select either to run/open the files saved or to open the destination folder.

Why not a download list as in Firefox put in the sidebar?!
Needs to be optional and integrated into policies.

do you ever got a doclink clicked on it and wish to open the DB after you read the info in the doclink? Wouldn´t it be very usefull if you have a "open DB" button when you open a document?

Open in Designer (from Administrator Client)

Hans Christian Koch1294 - Jan 29, 2008 / Comments (8)
I often need to view a design of a database, fx. to sign a specific agent or other. It would be very benificial to be able to right-click on a NSF file in the Admin Client and choose 'Open in Designer', thereby giving instant access to the database design, without

Lotusscript Classes for Open Document Symphony Interface

As Symphony is now integrated into Notes Client, it would be great, if a Lotus Script Class library could be provided. With greater integration between Notes Document Fields data exchange to Symphony documents.
