Domino Designer available for Linux and MAC Os

Leonardo Noach744 - Feb 6, 2011 / Comments (9)
In the last time many developers had adopted Linux and MAC OS as their natural operating system to create programs.
Domino Designer is developed using Eclipse Platform, and as anyone knows Eclipse works in any operating system, Why doesn't Domino Designer work in the same way?

Add support for OpenType Fonts on Linux systems

Bartosz Makara99 - Oct 30, 2010 / Comments (0)
Symphony doesn’t support any OpenType fonts on Linux systems. Migrating OpenOffice 3.2 sources should solve this problem because OpenOffice also didn’t supported *.otf-fonts until version 3.2.

Support for Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on 64bit

There should be full support for the current Ubutnu LTS (10.04) and also for 64 bit versions of Linux. Everybody in our office is running Lotus Notes in virtual machines since everybody has 64 bit. So running Windows VMs for working around that lack of 64 bit support sucks. Symphony

Extend Foundations options to include Quickr, Sametime, Traveler

Lawrence Micallef721 - May 28, 2009 / Comments (1)
It would be great to see Foundations become a platform for ALL the Domino family of products, as this could certainly lead to the "one server to rule them all" model for small businesses. This would also really be a win against Sharepoint - as you can easily add Sharepoint

Create a Quickr build that runs in Foundations Start/Branch Office

It would be REALLY great to see Foundations become a Quickr platform, as this could certainly lead to the "one server to rule them all" model for small businesses.

This would also really be a win against Sharepoint - as you can easily add Sharepoint to a Windows Small Business Server,

Make Traveler available on Lotus Foundations

Rob Wills1020 - Jan 27, 2009 / Comments (3)
By porting Traveler to Linux we could run it on Lotus Foundations appliances.  This would be a great sell into SMBs and would help keep those businesses on Domino once they grow out of the SMB space.  Very small businesses can't afford to administer Domino or Traveler and need the

I think the title says it all. While I can fudge the install and run Domino on Liux x64, I'd love to be able to get full x64 support and the "unlimited" RAM usage that was added to Windows and AIX 64 bit versions of Domino,

Installation of sametime on linux with symbolic links to the linux/latest directory

Christian Güdemann85 - Dec 30, 2008 / Comments (1)
During the installation of sametime on linux the installer checks where the domino server resists and use this directory information for creationg symbolic links. The result is that links are pointing to somthing like /opt/ibm/lotus/notes/linux/080020/theLink.

This is bad because upgrading the domino server breaks this links and the sametimer server is

Traveler is a great product and I would wish it would run on a Domino Server on Linux.
That would give is a lot more options to run Traveler in customer and BP environments.

Running your IBM Lotus Domino server on Linux

Andrew Pollack2904 - Sep 24, 2008 / Comments (2)
Linux can be an outstanding server platform for IBM Lotus Domino. Don’t let the geek factor keep you trapped on another platform. Even if you’ve never used Linux at all, you’ll come away with enough understanding to set up, maintain, and troubleshoot your Linux based Domino server.

Deliver start/stop scripts for Domino on Linux

Oliver Regelmann4914 - Nov 30, 2007 / Comments (4)
I guess everyone who installed Domino on Linux yet had to somehow generate init-scripts to run it as daemon. There are some options available to do this:

- using Daniel Nashed's scripts
- grabbing the one linked in some old redbook
- DIY writing

It would be nice if Domino delivered those scripts with
