LotusLive Notes - Add support for POP3/IMAP

Eric Larson2223 - Aug 19, 2011 / Comments (3)
New subscribers to LotusLive Notes/Traveler often want access to the same mailfile from Outlook (transition period, Outlook features, etc...). LotusLive Notes does not support this.

Both on premises Domino and LotusLive iNotes supports this. I think LotusLive Notes should as well.

Redesign the IMAP Account integration for the Lotus Notes Client.

Provide administrator ability to drop one or multiple user IMAP sessions, similar to how you can drop a Notes client session, instead of waiting for either user to disconnect or for the session to timeout.

IMAP currently sync's mail to the DB designated in the Location document.  But many users want to keep their IMAP mail seperated from their Domino mail.

Please provide a field on the Account document to specify where IMAP mail should be stored.

Explanation: some People go and download the Notes Client trial code, and in the setup dialog there are being asked about IMAP server. Since 99,9 % of Notes is being used

The compact task is currently unable to compact those databases in use by IMAP users (especially those users who leave their IMAP clients running 24x7).  The compact task flags the database as in-use.  Could another parameter be added to compact (in addition to the in place or copy modes) that tells compact to

IMAP Idle Command

Gregg Eldred5315 - Jan 17, 2008 / Comments (1)
Implement the IMAP Idle command in Domino's IMAP service. This command will allow true wireless synchronization to handheld devices. It will also make the Domino IMAP service compliant with RFC 2177:

The Internet Message Access Protocol [IMAP4] requires a client to poll the server for changes to the selected mailbox (new

Allow ACCOUNTS to specify OUTBOUND servers as well.

Right now, the use of an IMAP "Account" to create a Notes database reference to a remote mail account is terrific up to a point.  When I reply to a message from that account database, it goes out with my current notes mail settings rather than any I can set
