My partner works for the same company I do and she went recently on maternity leave. I was a bit curious what she wrote in her out of office message.
When I sent her an short message to check the response I only got returned a flat text message.

if you open a database that is new to your workspace the database icon is added to the workspace tab of the currently opened database.
I would prefer that you can point to a dedicated tab in the preference where by default the icons will be placed under.

This idea came after reading a post of Stephan Wissel:

All my folders look the same (and boring). It would be nice if I could define which icon I want to use for a folder (similar as in Windoooows)

when the workspace is being maintained for the notes client it can help us to include a default set of icons to choose as database icon, just like you have in your system when you customize the icon for a folder (see image).

Notes (Hotspot) buttons are pretty dull.
The option to use an icon/image could improve the user experience.
The support for 'Notes client only' would already be an improvement.

wouldn't it be nice to have the option to add an alt/title text to an icon in a view when selecting the option 'display values as icons' ?
for example if I mover over an icon with number 12 I get default the meaningless alt text: 'Pencil Icon'.

For some actions we use a custom toolbar icon. Because there is no standaard icon available for this. for example we use the PasteInfo button from http://www.alanlepofsky.net/alepofsky/alanblog.nsf/dx/paste-information-application When making this available for all our users we have to make an complete detailed description of how to implement this.
