This does already exist in 8.5.3 for recent contacts but not for groups (nor regular contacts). Very handy if you need to mail to certain (often large) groups like for announcements, but don't want to take the risk to mail this group by mistake for non-announcements.

You know the problem..
A user asks you "Why does my mailbox icon display that I have 4 unread emails, but there are no unread emails in my inbox or folders?"
The answer is often because:
- The user has "Sync Contacts" enabled.
- The user has

I would like to see the following functionality on ST client:
From your contact list on side bar, right click over a contact and select share/forward contact with another existing contact from your personal/public list

We now have the ability to set a policy to completely disable the Recent Contacts (see here). I would like to have more control. In the client preferences, a user can choose three options:
Any Names to Recent Contacts
CC and BCC names to Recent Contacts
Names from Emails I receive (Only add

You can import Contacts from a .csv file (in the More menu). Why can't you export them?
I know you can do this with the Notes client but not all customers who use LotusLive Notes want to install it.

When addressing an email, it's often nice to include the name as well as the address. e.g. to send to:
John Doe <john.doe@example.com>
Notes just picks the "e-mail address" field to include in the header. Generally this is just the address, so your e-mail doesn't include any names in the headers. But

iNotes should have the import/export function Contact list same as gmail or yahoo mail!

In 8.5.1, if you right-click on the sender's name in the header there is an option to Add Sender to Contacts.
However, this option is not available inside the email itself. I use previews (so it's not as big a deal for me), but many old-school users don't use previews so

when I select 'Add Senter to Contacts..' in the upcoming dialog there is no option to add some additional comment for this contact. I still have to open my contacts applicatio, locate the person, open it and add WHY I have added this person to my contacts in the first place.

The 'Type to Find' feature in the Open menu, should return results from the local addressbook, so that its possible to search for contacts directly from the Open menu.

I often use the "more.add sender to contacts" action in the memo form. I do like the control window to update more information for the contact at that moment. But it's annoying to have to klick the "contact was successfully added" window away with OK. This window gives the impression

Hi I'd like to see a feature in the Notes client that has become a staple in the OpenNTF Mail Experience Template.
Specifically, provide a mail rule to enable your synchronised contacts to be used as a whitelist. Thus, any mail from a sender who is not in your contacts list,

I would like to be able to highlight a name in the text of an email or a business address (such as in a text email signature) and add that information easily to a new or existing contact. For example, highlight

To programmaticaly add a todo item, a calendar item or contact is a big challange, even if you know the scriptlibs in the mailfile. Please add a api (either as a build in or as a template to inherit in my app) to work with calendar items, task and contacts,

The 'Move to My Contacts' button is only available at the Recent Contacts view. It would be nice to have it in the Contact form, too.
I use Mac's Spotlight to search for contacts. Sometimes it finds the name amongst the Recent Contacts. It opens the form, but I have no

When a company changes name, moves to another location or change telephonenumber, it would be nice to have a solution in the address book, to change this information on multiple contacts. (The same function as More|Categorize..., but with more fields to edit.)

Right now you can only add the sender.

Option to synchronize contacts should be available in either the scriptable setup (ie: rep.contacts=1 in text file) or better yet, via a desktop policy.
Currently, on version 8.0.2 of Lotus Notes, it is enabled on a client by client basis. For some reason, some of the clients have it disabled (the option
