Currently going through an exercise of upgarding all of our servers to ODS51.  One thing I think would help immensely in the exercise would be to have the Catalog and by extension the Domain Catalog, include the ODS version of the database in the information it gathers.

Add features to the catalog to make admins life easier.

 While the Catalog contains a lot of information, it gets little user.
Allow the Admin to change values and have them be pushed back out to the database.
 
Edit ACL from the ACL tab - you should be able tochange entries and have an update button.

Database Catalog Entries

Catalog.nsf aka Database Catalog has quite a bit of useful information on the "NoteFile" document:
ACL, Policy document (aka: Help doc) etc
 
Sadly, ACL information gets truncated (long heiarchies) and renders this information quite useless.
 
Most notably, the "Link to database Policy document" is a link to the database's Help->About document.
