It would be great to have an option in the calendar or in SameTime which can check uickly check the out-of-office status of other people. It would be usefull when you have to chechk if your colleague is on vacation or is out of office.

There are multitude of templates out there for meeting minutes, many good, many very very bad.
Maybe to simplify it , additional options can be added in a meeting invite - to speed up management of the meeting.
- Firstly the best way to manage a call slash meeting is to have

Please make it possible to delegate a meeting in Lotus notes to another person, without cancelling the meeting.

We work with people in multiple sites. I have to set up meeting rooms for people across North American and India. At each site, people have preferred meeting rooms. I have to track this in a separate doc and confirm vs list in availability every time I want to create

Allow Out of Office to be automatically enabled when scheduling calendar entries since I know I will be 'out of office' during these times. For example, if I create a meeting from 9a-12p Tuesday, allow me to check a box that says "Enable Out of Office for this time period". By having this

Using the Federated Calendar functionality, when you add a specific resource (clicking on "Add Calendar" and selecting a room or a resource as a Notes User's Calendar), all entries for all the resources existing in the Resources DB are displayed.
A workaround is to display all the entries for all

Please provide (create) an interface to access (create, modify delete) calendar entries within a users mail database. How often did you catch yourself writing some routines for creating a calendar entry from within an self developed app. And how often did this code stopp working after domino server or mailfile

It would be very convenient if it is possible to automatically enable the LotusNotes OOO agent for the day(s) that they are not in the office.
In Sametime your status changes based on the meetings in your calender.
It would be nice if the the OOO would have this functionality as

The idea is very simple (and not new) : have a general overview available to anyone in the organization to see who runs an OoO. Via an application or a widget (out of office at a glance) for instance. With options to create groups or show only the people you select for

In a meeting body, you can click to send an email to any of the other invitees. However, the Chair's name is unclickable. Add the option to make this imporant address accessible to an attendee, else, add an option to Request Info as you can in the Lotus Notes calendar

Even LLiNotes has this feature (import .ics file). Shouldn't the flagship Notes web experience also contain this feature?
Of course, you can do this with a Notes client but not all LL Notes users want to install it.

Apologies for the use of 'Lotus Notes' as name; I am bound by organisation policies not to use my own name.
The idea: restrict how far ahead a user can plan calendar items. Or at least warn them if they're planning beyond a certain date, similar to the warning that appears

Sametime allows an indicator for when you are available, away, do not disturb, mobile, in a meeting, etc. I would like to be able to indicate on my calendar more options like these for meetings. I want to indicate a status and/or a location for a given time, not just available

I'm shure, I'm not the first and not the last....
I need an @Function to calculate the calendar week of a specific date.
The function should be like @WeekNumber(date; format) with format = [calendar (gregorian, julian, ...) / region / ISO-8601 / etc.].
I know, there are a lot of working functions and

If you have a all day event or a task in the calendar view for current week, they are shown in a top panel above the regular calendar entries for that day.
A double click in that area should not create the default calendar entry (e.g. not create a meeting) but

There are Owners Actions on a meeting for sending mail to all invitees, to all who reacted, or to all who do not react. Some users would like to add "Send mail to all who accepted".

Integrated function in calendar invites to manage meeting time allocation.
The basic function of this tool is to show how much of allocated time a speaker is taking during their agenda items. The moderator/chair would pre-assign time slots per speaker for example 15 minutes for manager agenda items

Meeting invitation sent to email box should by default appear in calendar (even if the user has not responded to it). The invitation could appear with a different color suggesting user that he has not yet responded to the invitation. Displaying the invitation by default can help users to get

Don't get me wrong, I believe the Notes calendar in Notes 8.x is greatly improved. But IMHO it is still way behind compared to let's say the GMail Calendar, when it comes to entering a new entry and rescheduling entries.
It might be time to take it to the next level.

On most Android based phones you can create widgets for applications. Before Traveler was able to work with android devices we were using Nitro Desk Touchdown to sync with Traveler. Touchdown had a Calendar widget that would allow the user to see all of there appointments without having to open
