Add a Social Hub sidebar widget. This widget should collect all informations from popular social sites, like:
- Lotus Connections (profile, blog entry, etc)
- Facebook
- LinkedIn
- Twitter
- GWibber
- Sharepoint
-etc...
When You click on a mail/calendar entry, this widget recognizes the sender email address and searches those sites for this user and lists

It would be nice if the Sidebar apps, and I have 20+ in there now, could have a sort option by Alphabet, or most used as someone else asked about.
I recognize this is not a high priority issue, but from the person using it sometimes it might be.

Why can't I just right-click on a sidebar widget and select remove? You have to find the entry in the My Widgets list or under Maintain applications.
I had 3 sidebar widgets that didn't show in the My Widgets list, to get rid of them I had to install them

Implementing the Lotus Workflow Viewer as a Sidebar-Plugin can really leverage the userexperience when using Lotus Workflow enabled applications in the Notes Client. The Plugin should react to opening a document which uses Lotus Workflow and display the current state of the particular job. Animation of the routing path would

We are looking for a way to "Drag and Drop" Mails from the Inbox to a Lotus Standard Application like Teamroom or Document Library. This should be possible within the new Notes Client Standard 8 and Eclipse ?!
We know quickr, but quickr follows another way.

It's easy to see how the sidebar can become crowded with different applications. I'd like to be able to select various sidebars to be visible or otherwise depending upon the context in which I'm working, rather like using Working Sets in DDE to group related applications. For example, I might

Add the ability to lock the sidebar panels in their current position and expanded state. I'm FOREVER having to expand or collapse the things and resize them - all day, every day!

Really simple - create a sidebar panel for To Do's - no idea why this has been missed so far!
It's VERY clunky to do this yourself via create from context (all To Do is java views, and it's not viable for a regular user to do this).

I would like to see a widget that tracks the status messages of user-selected Sametime users. Sort of the way Facebook aggregates your friends' status messages and actions. Ideally this could be a widget in the sidebar of 8.x clients.
I would also like to see a status update field either

Please add a visual idicator of teh status of the ToDo entry in the "day at a glance" Summary sidebar. Currently I can't see if a ToDo entry is already completed or not and it is irritating. I also wouldn't mind if completed ToDos will not be shown in the

I would like to see the drop down button in the sidebar title (Item 1) replaced with a Hide/close button, and the icon on the toolbar be used for the drop down options. (item 2)
I find the minimize/restored maximize buttons, never quite work the way I expect them to, and

I would like to give my user the ability through a button in my Notes application to add a notesdatabase/view/frameset to the Sidebar via the widgets ... I would like a NotesUIWorkspace.AddWidget(URLString) and @Command([AddWidget]; "URLString") or something similar ... That way if I had a a something that i thought

The side bar in the ND8 client has a nifty Day-At-A-Glance feature. Problem is that when you have multiple appointments/reminders/ToDo items, as you accomplish things and the day progresses, it looks like you still have a full plate.
Create the option to strike-through entries in the panel applet, so that you

Would like to be able to drag and drop the RSS Reader Sidebar to become a Tab along the top.
Drag and Drop is not necessary but the ability to make the RSS Reader a Tab like the Calendar is desireable to me.

Notes 8 has added a great new feature in the sidebar. The sidebar is the ideal location for placing a number of Notes application components. Examples include the QuickNotes feature in the bookmarks template for adding a memo, journal entry etc. Others include phone call log entry, directory name lookups.

Provide a standard Widget for 'Note taking' in Lotus Notes 8 sidebar. Rather then launching a separate application like Journal to create new 'notes' items, if the application is in the sidebar with functionality to copy/past/capture quick notes then it is invaluable to Administrators like myself and Lotus Users in

I'm currently working on a sidebar application that will provide functionality of facebook in the notes client. The functionality provided will be limited by the facebook api. The goal in the end will be to have: Friends, Notifications, Groups, Events, Poke, Messages, Photos, Market Listings, etc...

Extend the Notes 8 sidebar to support adding widgets or gadgets (small, focused, Javascript-DHTML-CSS apps). Adding a new widget should be as easy in Notes 8 as it is in Apple's Dashboard or iGoogle.
