One function I would really like to emphasize in an Action button is "Customize This View". It'd be really useful to make this view entry visible on the view.
Longer-range it'd also be useful to reorganize the view programmatically, so we could provide specific customizations for users to select. There are

In Domino Designer, I always have Build Automatically turned off (as should you, Paul describes nicely why here: http://www.intec.co.uk/xpages-build-project-investigations/
But what I would like is a new shortcut key to allow me to build just the current application. If I press Ctrl-B at the moment all open applications in the Workspace get

I am working on an XPages project where the database I am releasing code to is on a very slow network (to me at least), so I want to be able to close the database when I am not using it. The current options are to either close Domino Designer

When you start Domino Designer (DD) is sometimes opens a full list of bookmarks database in "Applications" view. The same happens when opening the database from the Notes Client, and the bookmark of the database is located not in the current WS of DD. The initial discovery of a complete

Type ahead in 8.5 is pretty good, like most IDE's out there now, type ahead is quite a common and intuitive feature, but it needs to go a little further.
Problem.
When coding script/java/whateva, the developer needs to remember what the name of fields are on a form before referring to them

The appearance of these messages inexplicably.
Please correct this behavior, or simply remove the messages, because for LotusScript projects they lack any logic.
P.S. Domino Designer 8.5.1 - 8.5.2.

1. It would be convenient to have similar functionality, as well as at the closing-opening Notes Client, that is, when loading the Domino Designer automatically recover a set of open in the previous session of design elements.
All requirements for the keeping / restoration Workspaces set out in the idea

It would be very usefull, having the possibility to make columns sortable in embedded views, while keeping the categories already used in the embedded view intact.

- “1” if user has right to edit the currently open document
- “0” if user has only rights to read the document
This would be a very useful function when writing hide-when formulas or formulas to insert subforms especially

I always work on locale replicas. So it would be great if there was a new option that saved the current design and then replicated it to the last selected server I used in one action. It would probably help me stave off a repetitive strain injury due to the

Opening Domino Designer is still a pain even in 8.5.1 if I have applications in the navigator pointing to servers I do not have access. this will cause domino designer to freeze or take forever to open.
I have to use kill notes every time.
I now have 2 applications in the navigator

The current code completion for methods is following no coding guidelines I know of.
E.g.
Dim db As New NotesDatabase( "server", "filename.nsf" )
db.Folderreferencesenabled <-- Code Completion
The code becomes a lot uglier/less readable as a result. Sometimes I wonder if IBM have a QA (quality assurance) department.. :\
Don't get me wrong, there's a

Sometimes a designer needs to provide a lot of information within a view and that equates to many columns. I have had people approach me to see if this can be done in Domino just like it is in Excel. The key column would be frozen in place and will

As of now if we open the categorized view in lotus notes, the look and feel and the categorization option also toooooo bad.
There should be some mechanism in designer such that if u open categorized view, then it should be opened in the ajaz formatted view. Which is very convinient

For reasons I find completely unfathomable, the shortcuts to do identical operations are different between the Notes client and the Domino Designer. For instance:
In the client, as it has since the beginning of time, Ctrl-M creates a new mail message. That USED to be the same in the designer but
