When you reply to a mail a little green arrow icon will appear in the right most column of the inbox, signifying that that message has been replied to. How about jumping straight to the reply when clicking on that icon (instead of going to the thread view)?

I think it would be nice if the screen capture tool in the embeeded sametime client and the stand alone client could be accessed via shortcut key. Many companies bought 3rd party software to do that. We could save some money with that and it would eliminate the need to install

When shutdown Lotus Notes it needs some time to end all tasks - when you restart Notes in this time, it will be slow in startup. Bring a progress bar to show that client is shuting down (or close tasks immediately).

Notes 8 gradients & grey-blue it's nice but it might not be your favourite colors.
For end-users it should be easy to 'pimp' their Notes client a bit more by being able to select a colorset for the Notes client from a predefined set of 'themes'.
If I want to have my Notes client

There are many cases where wrong email recipients are chosen by Lotus Notes, especially if common names like "Michael" are entered. Lotus Notes should be able to intelligently determine the recipients that the message is most likely intended for.
What would implementing this idea accomplish?

When you receive a Lotus Notes Meeting Invite (as a participant), there are many occasions when you would like to have more people in your team attend the meeting with you. This is a suggested Lotus Notes enhancement that would benefit many Notes users.

To make the Notes client as cool and sexy to use as a growing number of applications (including Web browsers), provide a series of out of the box skins/themes/personas for the Notes client along with a tool that allows customization. Something like this may make Notes appear more modern to

Since R8, the Mail view has had a nifty refresh icon, that is clever enough to know to kick off a replication process if a local replica is being used.
However, that tool seems to only be available in the Mail db.
I'd like it to be available in every database/application -

Auto-save of mail messages is easy to enable in recent versions of the Notes client - it's in user preferences.
Howver, it's not just mail messages that would benefit from auto-saving during editing - blog posts, wiki entries, application forms and so on are all at risk should the Notes client

RAM and network are big dependencies, but application speed is the single most important feature of any software application. If IBM could make Lotus Notes the fastest email client on the planet they would surely grab back a huge chunk of market share. This is as basic as it gets.... we

Based upon the comments of many people doing upgrades to 8.5.1 It seems like opportunity still exists for the install experience to be made a more positive one. Amongst the areas I believe need improving:-
- Reduce the total time to do any given install

An idea is to have a prompt with a process bar/circle indicating the Notes Client is closing, like:

We are looking for a way to "Drag and Drop" Mails from the Inbox to a Lotus Standard Application like Teamroom or Document Library. This should be possible within the new Notes Client Standard 8 and Eclipse ?!
We know quickr, but quickr follows another way.

For my understanding IBM looks to less on Notes Client Installation on a Terminal Server. We have about 10.000 users. And there local files (bookmark, names, autosave, desktop, etc.) are stored on a files server. Some users have bookmark or autosave files up to 100 MB each. It grows from

Im looking for more information of handling the start up time of the Notes 8 Standard Client. There a a few documentations about it, but i think this is not enough and mostly to complex to handle and understand for "normal users" http://www.thenorth.com/apblog4.nsf/0/BB5DDB03611B2BB1852574D7005FF852
The default settings are very low and most of our users

If Quickr connectors were a Lotus Notes client install option (which could be scripted) that would simplify and reduce the administration required when upgrading or rolling out new machines. Imagine if Sametime (integrated version) was only a separate installation. That would hurt.
