Being able to "assign" a folder and its contents to a limited number of people. The current 'private folders' are way too restrictive here.

An old one but still not possible ...
I think that number of unread mail could indicate one's busyness. If that number were to be open to other users, they could take actions other than sending mail, like sametime, call, speak directly. This might I think help people work smarter.
The ability to "Send as" a different user (if you have access to their mailbox) as opposed to the "Sent on behalf of %idfile%".
We often get executive assistants who send emails from their Executive's mail box and don't want their name to appear anywhere on the email.
Make mail rules apply to mail retrieved via POP.
I would like to see search that expands the view/folder I have open. Sometimes I am looking for related documents that can be in my inbox, draft, folders or sent. I do not want go through all the views / folders separate to see if a related document is in ...
I use hotmail for my personal mail and I would like to be able to retrieve my hotmail mail with my Lotus Notes client. If this is already possible I do apologize, but I don't think that it is. I would think that a lot of users either have a ...
I've been using Notes Mail for years. I always use the All Documents view --never the inbox.
For performance reasons from time to time, I open the inbox, select all documents, and click Folder\Remove from Folder. I would much prefer that the inbox just didn't exist.
I would ...

Currently, double-clicking in the Inbox opens the selected message in a new tab. Hitting reply composes a Reply form, so now you have two tabs. On sending the reply, the message opened in read-mode is ...
When you reply to a mail and actually send it, the orginal mail you are replying to remains open and you have to close it manually.
If you are replying to the mail however it means you have already read the original one... so why not close it automatically?
I do find it necessary that users should be able to change the color of unread mail in the Notes client 8.5 from black to red, either by providing a special mail preference or by providing a seperate theme.
The method for changing the color by editing the com.ibm.notes.branding_126.96.36.19981211-1925.jar is to ...
One feature I used to like in exchance was to recall a message (if it were delivered and not yet opened). This feature in Notes may be harder to do, I am sure, but still not outside the technical know-how of the brilliant minds at IBM/Lotus. While mail recall should ...
This idea sprang from the fact that I often reply to people from the Internet and therefore who's first and last names are not known to Notes/Domino.
Unless a name like "Mark", "John" or a last name are manually added to the dictionary (which is a bit silly), the dictionary ...
Currently the user has no ability to select from different signatures when creating an email. It would be nice if the ability to sekect from more than one signature (read as many as you want to) when creating an email would be build into the mail application
Release 8 has a new feature on the type-ahead for email addresses. It records email addresses on all those received and sent in the new view, "Recent Contacts", located in the Personal Address book. It is nice to have the type-ahead feature which gives you a history dropdown, similar to ...
