It would be great if we could resize the properties dialog in the Notes client. When browsing field values on a document or setting properties in Domino Designer, often there is a severe lack of space to work with.
Being able to "assign" a folder and its contents to a limited number of people. The current 'private folders' are way too restrictive here.

An old one but still not possible ...
I think that number of unread mail could indicate one's busyness. If that number were to be open to other users, they could take actions other than sending mail, like sametime, call, speak directly. This might I think help people work smarter.
I just blogged about it.
When a user clicks a url coming with e-mail, referrer information is going to the remote web server. This information includes iNotes server url and name of the mail database.
I often want to create views in notes database with a column that is sorted by one value, but displays another value. I can't imagine this would be difficult to achieve -- allow us to specify the column value as we currently are able to, and allow us to specify ...
Today I started my Notes client and a consistency check on one of the databases on my workspace prohibited me to start using the Notes client directly (it took about 5 minutes to perform the check).
Why can't such a task run on the background or when I want to ...
The ability to "Send as" a different user (if you have access to their mailbox) as opposed to the "Sent on behalf of %idfile%".
We often get executive assistants who send emails from their Executive's mail box and don't want their name to appear anywhere on the email.
Make mail rules apply to mail retrieved via POP.
I would like to see search that expands the view/folder I have open. Sometimes I am looking for related documents that can be in my inbox, draft, folders or sent. I do not want go through all the views / folders separate to see if a related document is in ...
I use hotmail for my personal mail and I would like to be able to retrieve my hotmail mail with my Lotus Notes client. If this is already possible I do apologize, but I don't think that it is. I would think that a lot of users either have a ...
Contacts. Personal Journal. Bookmarks.
Take outside forces (like a mandatory disk encryption software that scrambled hard drives occassioanally), add angry users, stir. BOOM!
Put the three sets of information all in the same file, the mail file, as a default (ok, option). Users expect that all of their data is on the server and backed ...
I've been using Notes Mail for years. I always use the All Documents view --never the inbox.
For performance reasons from time to time, I open the inbox, select all documents, and click Folder\Remove from Folder. I would much prefer that the inbox just didn't exist.
I would ...
Small improvement that can halve the number of actions when responding to memos :-
Currently, double-clicking in the Inbox opens the selected message in a new tab. Hitting reply composes a Reply form, so now you have two tabs. On sending the reply, the message opened in read-mode is ...
How many times have you followed a doclink to a specific document but you also want to go up a level to the database view?
If your workspace is anything like mine - finding that database that's just be added once you close the document can ...
By default, Notes calendar entries are not private. So, every time you add a private entry, you must remember to click that option at the top right corner of the calendar entry. And if you forget to do that, it could cause you some embarrassment.
I think it will ...
Please refer to the linked idea. I had a brain-fry while typing.
When you reply to a mail and actually send it, the orginal mail you are replying to remains open and you have to close it manually.
If you are replying to the mail however it means you have already read the original one... so why not close it automatically?
When using a scriptable setup for roaming users, it should be possible to use environment variables (Windows) to retrieve information, like the username, the server name, etc.
See note in the end of this document : www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss
Roaming client support for basic and standard clients.
I'd also like to see an option for a simplified roaming setup similar to outllook's local cached exchanged mode, maybe using a local copy of the mail template for design elements.
This is a reverse twist on Google Desktop Enterprise, which allows people to search [local] Notes databases.
I would rather see Notes be able to index and provide search results for all my local files and any shared drives in addition to Notes stuff. Also, some built-in way to ...
