The screenshot shows exactly what I mean. If you have a hotspot which is not the actual URL itself, it's difficult to retrieve the URL . This is for the Notes client. In iNotes, the browser handles it with a 'copy link' in the context menu.
A recurent feedback we have is that the users (and also most of the advanced users I know) are lost as soon as they reach the File > Preferences menu in their Notes client.
I know that most of the preferences can be controlled (and eventually locked) by policy but ...
In Notes 9 there will be a notes plugin for web browser available.
This plugin opens any notes database inside a browser window with all the notes client functionality.
There are many situations where the notes plugin could be the better choice, then using the notes client.
Currently marking mails read/unread is rather slow in iNotes. It is fast in Notes via the INSERT button.
Maybe in iNotes you could have a behaviour similar to other web mail client (outlook.com e.g. if I may name it...) where you click an icon on the mail itself. It could ...
Most of us requires to have a record of Minutes Of Meetings created after team meetings. Currently for this purpose we all use some sort of MoM template outside Lotus Notes, may be in a word , excel,. etc format.
We could have a button included in the ...
It would be nice if you had the same conversation mode in iNotes like the one you have in Notes.
iNotes has the mail threads, but only through 1 view and it is not possible to expand/collapse.
For instance, when you right-click a mail to send it to a folder, a dialog box pops up with your different folders. Noticed how small this is? And not possible to resize whatsoever?
Not fixed in 9.0 by the way.
There should be an optional text box in the mail header somewhere next to Subject field. Mail sender can enter a folder name in that before sending mail. For e.g. HR\DressCode, Finance\Policy, ProjectName\releaseName etc.
When he hits the send button, the sent mail is parked automatically in the folder.
Regarding the new iNotes 9 interface it would be great to display the title of the inbox in the header.
This would be very helpful if you open the inbox via "Open other mail"...
From a message or from the Inbox, these actions are already available :
"Copy into new Calendar entry"
"Copy into new mail"
"Copy into new To Do"
How about a new "Copy into new Notebook entry" action (if one exists; if it doesnt, automatically create it first) ?

While typing, a word that is not in the dictionary should be auto-suggested, if multiple possibilities a drop-down appears under the word.
I often use flags as a means to reply to a message later on (I guess this is common).
It would remove an extra click in the Follow Up pane if a single Send button could remove the Follow-Up flag in the parent memo.
It would be great to have an option in the calendar or in SameTime which can check uickly check the out-of-office status of other people. It would be usefull when you have to chechk if your colleague is on vacation or is out of office.
Print of calendar is in black and white, which is not expected as user in all other interfaces can see calendar entries in diferent colors.
It looks like print preparation (generating pdf) is limited. Maybe it just neads some configuration.
Right click, View Image to see it in ...
Another simple one.
By default, when you open an un-customised Notes 8.5 mailbox, the "Views" section doesn't contain any views. Simply put, it should!
Some examples might be:
I'm accustomed to copying values from the InfoBox which is very tedious.
It would be very logical to add a tool to all right-click view menus that copies the selected column/row value to the clipboard.
There are many a times when we compose an email in lotus saying "Please find attached" or "Attachment is available" etc and forget to attach the required file!
This goes a long way and can have high impact / embarassment if it's an important attachment for a customer or ...
The alerting system (popup / tray icon / sound etc) only works as intended if you're not using Mail Rules to automatically categorise your mail. The alert occurs in your system tray / popup / sound and you don't know which folder the message has been moved to if a ...
