It would be great if you could have policies applied to specific locations.
I have a policy to set the local proxy and this get's applied to all locations including Internet where no proxy is needed.

Wouldn't you need standard/fixed location names?
(05 Dec 2007)
You're right we would need standard names. Fortunately at our company we use the standard names that came with Notes, unfortunately they are changing in 8.
Office (Network) -> Online
Island -> Offline
We can always script something to rename the locations on the local clients.

As users can create their own Location documents, and rename them as well, the sound suggestion gets muddled in the implementation. Very difficult to control and maintain, as such.
