Previous Notes versions (as well as Notes 8.0 basic) allow me to switch to the current location again. This feature is gone in Notes 8.0 (the current location is greyed out).
While this may seem pointless at first it was an easy way for me to switch back to the main user ID set in the advanced tab of that location after having switched to another ID. Of course I could create separate location documents for every test user ID but sometimes it is just easier to switch to a test ID on the fly without switching the location as well. |

If your ID is coded into the location document, then just click to the Offline location, then click back to the Online or your preferred location of choice.
The decision to grey-out the current location IMHO, is to assist the end-users in knowing where they are in a list of locations. They tend to not change IDs, but keep their current ID throughout the session -- the most notable exception is for AAs that send out group mails and have a "Mail Team" or "Fire Safety Monitor" moniker ID for those jobs.
