Today I was having to debug my application to determine what part of the code was throwing the error 'null' is null or not an object (duh).
Well, because the source code doesn't stay in a very easy to read format, especially when adding in code for visible/read only when, it was taking longer than needed to determine the start and end points of things like my panels, tables, div, etc.  It was a little easier to select the design element I wanted to comment out in the design pane, then goto the source code and use my memory to remember where the start and end points were.
I do consider myself new to xpages so that could be 99% of the issue, but I think my idea below has some merit.
This process made me think it would be nice if there was a means to comment out a design element within its properties.  This would need to apply to all levels of the tree structure (i.e. panel, table, table row, table cell, field, label, etc).
