It would be nice to have 'Save as draft' command which should  Suppress all field validations while saving as draft.

This would be really useful because one of the most dangerous aspects of domino is not being able to save things unless they pass validation - including LotusScript.

I've been called away to meetings and had to leave script windows or forms open because I couldn't save. In the case of script, I just copy it to Notepad and save it there but for forms, there's no easy solution.

I think Gravin were talking about another problem: saving drafts of design elements while the topic is about saving normal notes documents.:)
I'm more interested in Gravin's suggestion.
It should be possible to save design elements even if they haven't pass validation. Of course designer can list the errors next time they are edited.
As to the original topic, how to distinguish Draft from normal documents? I think the problem should be solved with introducing the ability to control the validation.
