There have been a couple of tips to speed up the loading of Notes 8.x clients that have been blogged about. The first one (by numerous people - Andrew Pollack was the first one I saw) is changing the vmarg.Xmx value in the jvm.properties file. The second one (by Denny Russell) is to edit the registry to have it preload some of the Notes files. It would be really nice to be able to centrally manage these thru a policy so I could roll them out to my whole environment so everyone could take advantage of these things.

Although I support this, a lot of work for N8.5.2 has been accomplished such that it can negate the need for this. The final release version will be the determining factor of course...so this is just an FYI.

I would love for this to be unnecessary. I'm just saying, if there are any of these things left, they need to be centrally managed thru policies. At this point, I can't roll-out the vmarg.Xmx value change in the jvm.properties file company-wide. And I want to make things as fast as possible for all my end-users so thery have fewer things to complain about.
