MS Windows Server 2008 R2 Remote Desktop Services have been dramatically improved compared to older Terminal Services. There is more to come with RemoteFX (provided by Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1).
Unfortunately, IBM only supports Citrix XenApp bases Terminal Services, but even the current XenApp 6.0 version (needed for W2K8R2 RDS) is not supported by IBM.
 
A lot of customers want to use pure Windows RDS systems and don't want to spent extra money for Citrix XenApp licenses or don't need the extra-functionality supplied by XenApp.
 
Hence, we need direct support for pure MS Windows Server 2008 R2 Remote Desktop Services without Citrix XenApp.
 
This is a similar post to the idea of Oliver Regelmann (http://www.ideajam.net/IdeaJam/P/ij.nsf/0/EF9AD538FBA21D888625764F007A732A?OpenDocument), but updated for/more specific to MS Windows Server 2008 R2 RDS.
