I often times visit the files view in the administrator to look at which mail files on a server are using which template (we have several different templates in operation), which database have quotas and which don't, which databases are over quota, which are the largest databases, etc. etc.

It would be great to be able to export the column headings and the actual data to a .csv so that it could be opened with excel.

This is currently possible, but through these tedious steps:
  • go to the server console on the actual server with PCA/Remote Desktop
  • (not possible with the admin client itself)
  • sh dir -xml >filename.xml
  • File Transfer with PCA/Remote Desktop/FTP and move the filename.xml to your local machine.
  • Open filename.xml with Excel, select "As XML List" when it imports
  • Let Excel create the XML schema
  • Delete the columns and databases that you don't want and re-save as .xls file

Very good suggestion. Furthermore I would like to be able to export all the viewlike data from adminclient.

Like Notes Users, Database Users etc. from Server Status tab

Have a look at the WebAdmin client. I think you call pull the data as XML from it.

In some cases, an admin may not use the web admin client, or the HTTP task may not be loaded.

How about extending the "Copy Selected as Table" feature to the Domino Administrator? This should include not only the values in the columns listed in the Admin client, but also a link to any database link to any databases, doclinks to server documents, people, etc.

I've been dying for this capability for years. Even a simple copy/paste would help.

You can get most of this out of catalog.nsf. You'll need to create some custom views, but there are many fields (such as DbInheritTemplateName) that would help you get what you need. Then you could copy the view as a table and paste into Excel or just export as csv.
