Each time I open Domino Administrator it tries to connect to whatever server I was connected to when I last quit Administrator. This is almost always not the server I want to connect to, and in the case that I have since switched IDs or the server is not accessible/slow to access it wastes time. It can be very frustrating.
I would like to see a configuration about what to connect to when starting Administrator -- a user can either select the current behavior (restore last connection), or the select a default server to always connect to on startup. One of the possible defaults should be 'Local'.

This is already how Domino Administrator works, at least from version 6.5. In Administrator, open File/Preferences/Administration Preferences. The options for startup of Administrator are "Don't connect to any server", "Connect to last used server", and "Connect to specific server".

I never knew about that. Thanks for pointing it out. Idea withdrawn.
